Problems/Comments

This database entry is an outdated relic that generally describes the Air Force cleanup of the Galena Airport under CERCLA, and therefore is administratively closed. Please see the Contaminated Sites Database entries under "Galena AFS" for more complete and current information. The leak test failure noted in 1991 almost certainly pertains to leak tests conducted at Million Gallon Hill and the Power Plant Tank #49, both of which are Air Force Installation Restoration Program sites, and are tracked through the Contaminated Sites Database. Later entries (1999 – 2001) describe reports documenting other LUST sites, which now have LUST database entries specific to each tank.
