Problems/Comments
Quantity of leak unknown. Evidence of impact on plant life in area. Tanks are being monitored and presumed to be currently used. Removal planned for summer 1992.(rpltr4)

| 8/16/2005 | Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other | Staff reviewed file for this site. There were five tanks at this site that were in use from 1987-1994 and they were removed in 1994. There was one 500 gal used oil tank, one 500 gallon used hydraulic oil tank, one 500 gallon used JP-4 fuel tank, one 1000 gallon oil/water holding tank, and one 1000 gallon tank that held chemical waste or methylene chloride. Tanks are regulated under UST Program. Screening indicated no contamination. Samples were collected for DRO, GRO, BTEX and TRPH, and all were below cleanup levels except benzene. However, benzene was detected in the method blank as well. Additional samples were collected for VOCs and methylene chloride was detected under the methylene chloride tank. They also stated that the analyte was detected in the method blank. No further action will be required for the petroleum tanks, but the methylene chloride tank should get further evaluation. | Emily Youcha |

Staff kept open the site in the CS database due to methylene chloride contamination associated with the chemical waste tank. Samples were collected for DRO, GRO, BTEX, and TRPH and all were clean except benzene (0.11-0.47 ppm). However the method blank for the analysis detected benzne (0.8 ppm).
