Problems/Comments

Surface stains in gravel, leaks, spills, sumps, drains, and possible LUSTSs. Suspected diesel and used motor oil. Site of garage and heavy construction equipment storage yards. Jackson Construction is a PRP. Tract A, and lots 4-6, 20 and 21. Block 18, Soldotna Junction Subivision. Last staff assigned was Krogseng.

2/29/1996 Update or Other Action Building has been removed and the concrete floor dug up. Additional contaminated soil was removed from under the old building. Permission to remove contaminated soil was increased from 170 to 300 cubic yards. Contaminated soil will be hauled to Anchorage for thermal remediation. Bob Krogseng
5/14/1996 Site Ranked Using the AHRM Ranked by Shannon and Wilson. S&W
12/16/1996 Site Closure Approved Comprehensive sampling indicates that no contamination over level "A" is left. Department issued a no further action required letter. Site is Closed. Bob Krogseng
12/16/1996 Cleanup Plan Approved (Old R:Base Action Code = RAPA - Remedial Action Plan Approval). DOWL Engineers submitted an addendum to their remedial action report that showed that all contaminated soil over level `A' had been properly remediated/disposed of. Bob Krogseng
12/18/1996 Site Ranked Using the AHRM Reviewed S&W ranking. Changed Quantity from 2.1 to 3, GW Exposure Index Value from 0.4 to 0, and SW Environments from 2 to 0. Bob Krogseng

9/30/2005 GIS Position Updated Using Figure 1 from Ann Environmental Site Assessment, The Western Portion of Soldotna Junction, from DOWL Engineers, dated November 1994, in conjunction with TopoZone Pro and the KPB Parcel Lookup, entered the coordinates for this site. Metadata includes No Topo Basemap, TopoZone Pro Street Maps, Black and White Aerial Photo, on a Medium Size Map, View Scale 1:10,000, Coordinate Datum NAD83.
