Problems/Comments

2002 SRI installed 4 new GW monitoring wells. Detection of petroleum analytes in groundwater samples were at concentrations below the approved cleanup levels. No Further Remedial Action Planned Decision by the Department with Institutional Controls placed on areas of residual soil contamination. These are beneath the sidewalk southeast of the Terminal Building and beneath the leased State building northeast of the Airport Terminal building.

Matrix spikes of TPH-D (AK 102) had problems due to "existing high concentratios of analyte (DRO)". All concentrations were below Table C cleanup concentrations but "J" flagged because of problems. 3/13/2003 Institutional Control Record Established Letter drafted and sent for land manager review of Institutional Controls: Residual DRO contamination from jet fuel spill remains in soil beneath the sidewalk south of the spill area and beneath the DOT&PF building north of the spill area. These locations are east of the Airport Terminal building where residual soil contamination is present in former UST footprint near the middle of the building foundation on the east side.
