On April 29, 2009 the stockpiled material currently being stored off site was run through a crusher, field screened and sampled (BTEX, GRO, and DRO) in accordance with the sampling workplan conditionally approved on April 28, 2009. All soils meet default method 2 cleanup levels. Soils are approved for reuse at the off property location in accordance with the approved workplan. |

ADEC issues a closure letter for this site. Some benzene soil contamination may remain up to 0.057 mg/kg at 15 feet below ground surface below the middle tank and at 40 feet below ground surface in the southeast corner of the tank excavation based on 1998 sampling in the excavation. New replacement underground storage tanks were put in the same excavation, and as of the date of this letter these tanks are still in use. |
