Problems/Comments
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) discovered floor drains and poor waste handling practices in 1989. There is a drinking water well on site. In 1993, 120 yards of waste oil contaminated soil was removed and stockpiled. Groundwater impact suspected. Extent of contamination unknown. Fate of soil stockpile unknown. According to the report, groundwater contamination and floating free product was reported in both the south and north floor drain injection well excavations. The free product was determined to be diesel #2 in the north floor drain excavation and it could not be determined in the south floor drain excavation.
