8/18/2006 | Conditional Closure Approved | When the tanks were removed in 1995 the maximum result was 423 mg/kg DRO. The department is not requiring any additional cleanup activities be conducted at this time. Some soil is present at the site that contains contaminants of concern at concentrations above the most stringent cleanup levels in 18 AAC 75.341, Tables B1 and B2. Prior notification to the department pursuant to 18 AAC 78.274(b) for disposal, movement, or relocation of this soil off-site is required. | Debra Caillouet |
8/18/2006 | Institutional Control Record Established | letter sent notifiy requirement to notify DEC prior to soil movement | Debra Caillouet |
12/29/2009 | Cleanup Complete Determination Issued | Upon review of information DEC has on file for the UST and Oil/Water Separator 3-3 DEC finds that there is no unacceptable risk to human health or the environment. The level of DRO remaining is below the ingestion and inhalation cleanup levels. While the level exceeds the migration to groundwater pathway, the groundwater has not been impacted and taking into consideration that the groundwater at KANGB is 70 feet or greater below ground surface DEC does not consider the pathway for DRO migration to groundwater to be complete. Therefore DEC is changing the designation for this site from Conditional Closure to Cleanup Complete. | Debra Caillouet |
