Problems/Comments
UST 1578-3 was a 1,000-gallon tank that stored gasoline for a standby water pump. It was removed in 1997 and the sampled excavation had benzene and DRO over Method 2 soil cleanup levels. Contaminated soil was used as backfill after pulling the tank. --Updated 2011-- In April 2010 this site was included in a Preliminary Assessment report, and was recommended for additional site characterization. The target analytes for this site are GRO, DRO, RRO, BTEX, PAHs, EDB, 1,2 DCE, and lead. 2010 sampling is close to delineating the nature and extent of contamination at this site. However sample UST15783_GP002 showed a hit of 4170 mg/kg of DRO at 29 ft bgs. During TPT discussions, it was agreed that this site needs additional evaluation.
