Problems/Comments

This release was discovered in November 1999 and originates from the new tanks installed in 1996. GW contamination appears to extend beyond the property boundaries. See also Event IDs 584 and 873 (both Haz id 23470). Due to a new release in 2002, site work for this event will be tracked under Haz ID 23305 (Event ID 2900).

5/9/2006 Institutional Control Record Established 1. An institutional control will be recorded on the ADEC database that identifies the nature and extent of the contamination remaining on the site. It will also notify future owners/operators of the property of the environmental status of the site and any conditions that apply to future management of contamination. 2. ADEC shall be notified prior to offsite transport of soil or groundwater in accordance with 18 AAC 78.274(b). 3. Permanent closure and/or change in service for the UST systems must be conducted in accordance with 18 AAC 78.085. 4. 12/2/2015 Institutional Control Compliance Review IC compliance review conducted, staff name changed from Nuechterlein to IC Unit, long term monitoring has been completed, the monitoring equipment has been decommissioned, scheduled the reminder system to send an IC review letter in the near future. A periodic review of the ICs will be scheduled for every five years. There is an associated site located on the same property. The hazard ID is 23305.
