Problems/Comments
The Napaskiak Inc. Store Former Tank Farm site historically contained three 20,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks that were moved due to erosion threat. In 2001, soil samples collected from a 10 by 20 foot stain at this site, contained diesel range organics, gasoline range organics, BTEX, and naphthalene well above ADEC cleanup levels. This site is within about 75 feet of Z. John Williams school and 50 feet of a residence. Currently, as of September 2011, satellite imagery and a ADEC site visit indicates a new building may have been constructed over the stained contaminated area.
