Problems/Comments
On 10/20/08 approximately 250 gallons of ethylene glycol were released from a pressure relief valve on the waste heat recovery line. The release originated inside the fire station, flowed into the bay and outside to the ground beneath and extended ~80 from the building. Initial response actions did not include excavation due to frozen ground conditions and constraints to excavating beneath the pile-supported structure.
