Problems/Comments
On December 30, 2008 a tanker truck was involved in an accident at milepost 205 Richardson Highway. A fuel trailer separated from the tanker truck and overturned, releasing 4,000 gallons of #2 diesel to the frozen ground in a ditch on the east side of the highway. Groundwater has been sampled since 2009 and all chemicals of concern at the site have been below DEC cleanup levels for two or more sampling events. Soil was last sampled in 2009 and had migration to groundwater exceedances of DRO, 1-methylnaphthalene, and 2-methylnaphthalene.
