Received groundwater assessment report from Nortech Environmental. Three monitoring well points have been installed at the site. Benzene was the only contaminant in the groundwater exceeding cleanup levels during the 9/24/10 sampling event. This exceedence was in MW#-1, the well placed in the former excavation. Lead was detected in the soil stockpiled soil, but was below cleanup levels. |

The UST Program reviewed the site assessment report and determined this tank should have been a regulated UST. A new UST facility was added to the UST database, and this LUST site was associated with that facility. |

Sent state interest letter to CMI in Anchorage. Nortech called and said CMI is planning to collect water samples this year from this site and the injection well site at 1949 Ada Street. CMI is discussing whether they would like to continue monitoring until a cleanup complete can be obtained, or request a conditional closure with monitoring requirements. |

The report describes groundwater sampling results that took place in the spring of 2012. All contaminants were below cleanup levels and previously, there were three fall annual sampling events that showed decreasing contaminant concentrations. |
