2/26/2002 | Update or Other Action | During the 1996 Removal/Remedial Action, five drums were removed from the area. Two soil samples were analyzed from stained areas. One show 330,000 mg/kg TRPH. The site was proposed for inclusion in the NDAI group of OU1. ADEC submitted comments that the area should be addressed and not included in OU1. | Debra Caillouet |
12/23/2002 | Update or Other Action | Site has been moved out of OU1 because file search indicated TPH found at 330,000 mg/kg that has not been addressed. | Debra Caillouet |
2/16/2006 | Meeting or Teleconference Held | The Corps is planning on using in house staff to remove some drums and asphalt at one of the Northway Staging Field sites (Site 35 Military Trails) and to find an remove some lead contamination at another site (Site 15 Titus/Albert Dump). They will prepare a work plan for DEC review and request a waiver of the independent sampler as this work should lead to closure of the two sites. | Debra Caillouet |
3/9/2007 | Site Characterization Report Approved | Final 2006 Delineation with Removal Action Report, Area 15 and 35 Northway Staging Field FUDS, February 2007 Area 35 had seven drums and asphalt contaminated soil removed from the site. Confirmation samples presented conflicting results, the primary sample contained diesel range organics (DRO) at 30,000 mg/kg and residual range organics (RRO) at 56,000 mg/kg. The Quality Control Sample and Quality Assurance Sample contained 2400 and 4960 mg/kg DRO and 5800 and 15,400 mg/kg RRO. All benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon results were below cleanup levels. The report recommends no further action and site closure. The site may be conditionally closed with a notice in the Contaminated Sites database of Residual Contamination and a letter to the landowner advising that soil movement will need to be approved by DEC. | Debra Caillouet |

The third project is the Ham Lake site that requires a Feasibility Study, Proposed Plan and Decision Document.
