Problems/Comments

Quarters Building 107 formerly utilized a 1,000-gallon UST that supplied fuel oil to the residents. UST 28-G-9 was decommissioned in FY96, and approximately 100 cubic yards of DRO-contaminated soil were excavated. The high DRO levels at the site and the porous nature of the gravel beneath the tank merited additional investigation. A FY99 RI confirmed that soil and groundwater from the UST excavation site contained high DRO levels that exceeded ADEC cleanup standards. 2010 SI found DRO 22000 mg/kg, 17' bgs. Groundwater at source area contained DRO at 7.76 mg/l.
