Problems/Comments

Quarters Building 139 formerly utilized a 1,200-gallon UST that supplied heating oil for the building furnace. UST 28-G-6 was decommissioned in FY98, and approximately 40 cubic yards of contaminated soil were excavated. A FY99 RI detected DRO above ADEC cleanup standards in soil samples in the vicinity of the UST excavation. 2010 SI found DRO at 6200 mg/kg GRO at 570 mg/kg at 20 ' bgs and 16' bgs respectively. Groundwater was not impacted.

This work plan describes remedial actions, site investigation activities, and groundwater monitoring events at FAA Cold Bay sites. This includes remedial actions at the following twelve areas of concern (AOCs): 1. Building 101 – Former Living Quarters 101. 2. Building 102 – Former Living Quarters 102. 3.
