Problems/Comments

On 10/19/2011 a tanker truck rolled over on Easy Street just south of the East Van Horn Road intersection, releasing 2,551 gallons of diesel fuel to the ground. Initial response actions included free product recovery and soil removal. Excavation was limited due to the presence of utility lines. Contaminant concentrations in the soil above DEC cleanup levels remain in the road right-of-way (volume estimated at 125 cubic yards).
