A meeting between ADEC Staff, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and USAF contractors was held to identify remaining Data Gaps in nature and extent investigations at Galena Sites. It was agreed that an additional monitoring well would be installed during the 2013 field season to address DEC concerns for Groundwater impacts at Site AST 1569. The well installation soil sampling and groundwater monitoring results are to be presented in a Site Characterization supplemental report. |

DEC approved the ADEC Method Three Risk Evaluation and Cleanup Complete Report for Site CSS001 (AST 1569). The report documents the cleanup activities undertaken and evaluates the cumulative risk from contaminants remaining in site soils. Risk from residual contaminants is below 1 X 10-5 carcinogenic risk and below a Hazard Index of one for non-carcinogenic risk. |
