Problems/Comments
During building demolition three abandoned underground storage tanks and their associated piping were discovered. They were removed on August 3, 2009. An additional abandoned tank was discovered and removed on August 13, 2009. In September 2009, 32 tons of contaminated soil (up to 6,160 mg/kg DRO) were excavated and thermally treated. An additional 1 cubic yard of DRO/lead contaminated soil (up to 3,490 mg/kg DRO, 456 mg/kg lead, and 2.39 mg/l TCLP lead) was excavated and disposed of off-site at the Columbia Ridge Landfill in Arlington, Oregon. After contaminated soil removal all excavation soil samples met default cleanup levels. Up to 68.2 mg/kg DRO, 96.6 mg/kg RRO, and 3.15 mg/kg GRO in the excavation samples collected. Recommend site for corrective action complete status.
