Problems/Comments

In August 2012, a 300-gallon Doyon Utilities gasoline underground storage tank (UST), DEC ID #3 / aka ADEC #87 [FGA#443A] was removed at Building 625 at Fort Greely. Soil fro the limits of the excavation and the stockpile were sampled for GRO, BTEX, Lead, and PAHs. Some PAHs were detected, but below DEC's most stringent cleanup levels.

2/8/2013 Final Cleanup Report Reviewed During tank removal activities the 300-gallon gasoline UST was observed to be in good condition and no indications of a release were observed. Analytical samples were collected from the limits of the excavation and the excavated soils and analyzed for gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), lead, and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). GRO and BTEX results were all non-detect; lead and 6 PAHs were detected below the migration to groundwater cleanup levels. Melody Debenham
