Problems/Comments

In April 2012, a leaking pipe containing heating oil was discovered south of the walkway entrance to the 700 wing of the Tower Hill Mines - Livengood Camp. Further investigation revealed that there was historic petroleum-contaminated soil in the area. Analytical results from samples taken after initial excavation activities show that petroleum contamination remains above DEC cleanup levels.
