Problems/Comments
During the removal of an underground heating oil tank in 2012, petroleum-contaminated soil was discovered at the fill pipe and from leaks on the west end on the tank. Approximately 40 cubic yards of contaminated soil were transported offsite to ASR. The latest confirmation samples indicate contamination is below cleanup levels. The site use is mixed commercial/residential.

During the removal of an underground heating oil tank in 2012, petroleum-contaminated soil was discovered at the fill pipe and from leaks on the west end on the tank. Approximately 30 cubic yards (cy) of contaminated soil were transported offsite to ASR. Initial confirmation soil samples contained DRO up to 700 mg/kg on the east side of the excavation. Based off this, 10 Additional cy were excavated from the east side of the excavation. A confirmation soil sample collected 10 feet bgs from this area contained detectable concentrations of DRO, but below ADEC migration to groundwater cleanup levels. The 40 cy contaminated soil stockpile was transported to ASR for thermal remediation. The site use is mixed commercial/residential. | Grant Lidren |
