Problems/Comments
On 6/26/13 petroleum-contaminated soil was encountered during the repair of Sierra Apron pads 1 through 3 at Eielson Air Force Base. Contamination is believed to be from a historical release.

The report describes the results of field screening and analytical sampling done at Sierra Apron in conjunction with the removal and replacement of asphalt cement concrete at various locations on Alpha and Romeo Taxiways. The sampling done at the Sierra Apron excavation confirmed methylene chloride contamination left in place in soil above Method Two cleanup levels.
