Problems/Comments
In July 2014 fuel odors were reported at the Clarkson Apartments (aka Kelsha Court Apartments). Petroleum-contaminated groundwater was being pumped from the basement into a small wading pool, which overflowed onto the surface drainage of Clarkson Drive. The landowner verified the crawlspace of the apartment complex had flooded with elevated groundwater with approximately 1/8 inch of fuel floating on top, and that there had been previous releases of heating oil, volume(s) unknown, from the former day tank/boiler system that had been replaced several years prior. The existing underground heating oil tank passed a tank tightness test.
