Problems/Comments
In August 2011 a Class V underground injection well at the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Montana Creek Maintenance Station (aka Montana Creek Shop) at Milepost 80 Steese Highway. Samples were analyzed for metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). Samples were not analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons. Frozen soil prevented samples from being collected at the depth of the outfall. Due to data quality issues, sample results were unreliable and insufficient to determine if contaminants were present above DEC cleanup levels. 4/17/2019 Update - The data were evaluated and several of the analytes exceed current CULs. As such, the site was changed to 'Active' Status.
