Problems/Comments
In December 2014 a Limited Phase II Environmental Site Assessment was performed on Lot 10, Block 3, New Wacker Subdivision in Ward Cove, Alaska. The property had been used to store vehicles since 1996. Analytical samples of surface soil confirmed diesel range organics and residual range organics were present above DEC cleanup levels. Arsenic and chromium were also confirmed above DEC cleanup levels, but are consistent with background concentrations. A sheen was observed on ponded water near the center of the property. Groundwater was encountered at 2.5 feet below ground surface during assessment activities.
