Problems/Comments

On June 27, 2019 an overfill of a large truck fuel tank at a high-rate dispenser, released an unknown amount of diesel fuel when the vehicle was left unattended at the Tesoro Northstore #78 (2Go Mart; UST Facility ID 3136) in Talkeetna. Fuel ran off the pavement an onto the ground. The initial quantity estimate was approximately 10 gallons, but based on the amount of contaminated material encountered during initial remediation activities, the volume of diesel released may have been greater. 1-3 cubic yards of contaminated soil was removed and sent for thermal remediation during initial response activities.
