Problems/Comments

1965-1978, uncontrolled disposal site used by oil industry/public containing unknown amounts of solid wastes, mostly oil drillings. On-site groundwater contaminated by gas condensate and BTEX compounds. No contamination of nearby residential wells, contamination in livestock well. Hazardous substances could contaminate groundwater/increase cancer risk. The chemical of concern is natural gas condensate. Primary remedial technology: Bioremediation for soil, Phytoremediation for GW. Last staff assigned were Nicklas, then Fritz until 7/1/93.

Observed first confirmation sampling of the 10" sand layer between the 2 liners on 9/6/96, 10 cells sampled.

This hit in an upgradient MW should not affect the potential site closure later this year.
