Problems/Comments
At the site, located at 8393 W Snow Goose Road, Wasilla, Alaska at an unknown time for unknown reasons a 300-gallon aboveground home heating oil tank containing fuel (diesel) (approximately 100 gallons) fell from its metal storage platform and spilled an unknown volume to the ground surface. Soils were excavated to the depth of 13 feet adjacent to the cabin; however, contamination remained in the bottom of the excavation pit and below the cabin. Fertilizer was applied to enhance natural remediation, and soils were replaced in the excavation pit with layers of clean fill, and fertilizer.
