Problems/Comments

Diesel contamination from a heating oil tank in the basement of the Commanding Officer’s Quarters. A 2016 joint USCG-ADEC site visit verified the presence of bedrock below the house in the basement. There was some soils around the doorway and within the basement and during the site visit, we decided that test pitting around the doorway and where the heating oil piping was is the best way forward. No vapor intrusion issues have been reported are not anticipated.
