Problems/Comments
The CDAA (Circular Disposed Antenna Array) Complex (a.k.a. the Dinosaur Cage) was used for antenna assembly to support the NSGA mission at Adak, providing rapid radio relay and secure communications for the Navy. UST 10580 was used to store JP-5 for heating building 10404 and running its emergency generators; it was removed in 1994. UST 10654 was installed in 1992 to perform the same functions; it was removed in 1996. The site was not retained in the original screening due to contamination levels below screening values. A method 4 risk assessment was run on the site demonstrating that the remaining contamination was below risk based levels. NOFA was selected in the OU A ROD.
