Problems/Comments
UST 42200 was used to store JP-5 for Quarters A. The tank was removed in 1997. Site was retained during the screening process because DRO concentrations in the soil were above screening levels. Limited soil removal selected under SAERA in OU A ROD. Limited soil removal conducted during 1999 removed 2 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil. Confirmation sampling identified concentrations of petroleum-related chemicals below Alaska DEC soil Cleanup Levels. No further action is expected at this site. Site closure approved November 23, 2005. Site lies within the general 'Downtown' excavation notification area and groundwater restriction area.
