A comment resolution meeting was held to discuss the remaining issues for the OU-2 remedial investigation-risk assessment report. DP028 contaminants and extent of contamination were discussed. The remedial investigation identified metals above project screening levels (PSLs) and background threshold values (BTVs) in fly ash; Volatile Organic Compounds (Chloroform, TCE, PCP,), Semi Volatile Organic Compounds (naphthalene), dioxins ( 2,3,7,8-TCDD), and metals above PSLs in soil; and metals above PSLs and BTVs in groundwater. The metals barium and chromium exceed the PSLs and BTVs in fly ash, surface soil, and subsurface soil and chromium exceeds the PSL in groundwater. Chromium speciation is recommended to determine whether hexavalent chromium is present. |
