Problems/Comments
An underground storage tank of unknown origin was removed June 27, 2001. Primarily residual-range, petroleum hydrocarbon contamination was encountered around the tank, with some diesel fuel odor detected near the ground surface. The contamination appeared to be the result of disposal of waste oil into the backfill, as the tank was buried and possible surface spills. Maximum contaminant concentrations in soil prior to excavation are unknown. Groundwater depth is approximately 19 feet below ground suface. The elevation is approximately 136 feet. The gradient is approximately 3.3 percent. The South Fork Little Campbell Creek is located approximately 3000 feet from the site. The Taku School is located approximately 0.8 mile from the site.
