Problems/Comments
Site is contaminated with petroleum and lead from broken batteries from historic logging operations. On September 14, 2002 APC and the FS entered into an MOU to establish a process by which APC would provide the FS with a master list of all known LTFs where APC conducted activities on National Forest Land. This site was one of those identified needing further investigation and possible cleanup.

The DEC concurs with the conclusions of the Report that the weathered petroleum contamination was unrelated to the fresh diesel spill and appeared to have migrated from the former APC Shop area on Forest Road 6590. The diesel range hydrocarbon concentration 2,400 mg/kg detected in the sample is below the approved DRO cleanup level for the APC LTF site of 3,920 mg/kg.
