Site Added to Database |
Primarily DRO contamination with some PCE soil contamination found in the excavation. The excavation was in the middle of a PCE plume. Despite the DRO being the Primary Contaminant of Concern at this site and the PCE presence due to off-site migration, the Reckey Workplan has been established as a hazardous substance number to reflect the fact that the PCE will, in all likelihood, be persistent for the long-term and be a consideration at this site during remediation. |

Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other |
Approved workplan to decommission MW 2, MW12, MW30, MW 31, and MW32. If MW1 is not functioning is will also be removed; however, this well is used to monitor solvents associated with the North Star Terminal #2 (Haz ID 1087) solvent plume so will be left in place if it is still working. |

Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other |
Received monitoring well decommissioning report. MW-30, MW-31, and MW-32 were decommissioned by removing the well casing or breaking the well casing and leaving a portion in place and filling with bentonite slurry. The consultant noted that the depth to water was 9.7 feet in MW-30 prior to decommissioning. MW-1, MW-2, and MW-12 were left in place for monitoring solvents from the North Star Terminal #2 site. MW-12 was repaired as it was frost-jacking. |
