Problems/Comments

The history of the building includes its use as a trading post and general store. Besides the poor condition of the building and the hazards associated with it, there are also two aboveground storage tanks located north of the Old Village Store building. These include a 5,000-gallon and 10,000-gallon-capacity tanks that had contained heating and diesel fuel. During the June 2005 sampling event, these tanks were noted to contain residual amounts of fuel. EPA and DEC conducting limited investigations and removed chemicals and wastes from structure. In November 2011, the building was demolished and ACM buried in monocell in Mtn. Village. FKA Brownfield file 2430.57.001
