Problems/Comments

Combo LUST/CS site. Petroleum and solvent contamination found during DOT/PF soil gas survey. Solvents discharged to an on-site leachfield. Diesel USTs removed during summer of 1990. Amount and type of contaminants, extent of contamination, and health risk are unknown. Ira Walker is owner of Waldec Enterprises Inc. which operates Eastside Automotive located at commercial complex SW corner, Tract A3, Waldec #1 Subdivision. Last staff assigned were Bailey, Weimer, Alam, and Olson.

10/27/1999 Site Closure Approved NFA followed review of September 1999 "Release Investigation" report. Assessment activities included advancing three soil borings which were completed as monitoring wells, and collecting near-surface soil samples from 11 locations. The borings were advanced at the locations of the former pump island, former leachfield, and former Excavation 11. Data presented in the subject report indicate that neither soil or groundwater in the three borings which were completed as monitoring wells contained concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons or hazardous substances that exceed the most stringent ADEC soil cleanup criteria.
