Problems/Comments

Former drill pad had diesel range organics up to 2,680 mg/kg during 1999-2000 sampling. Flare pit removed in 2006-2007.

7/28/2008 Cleanup Complete Determination Issued The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Contaminated Sites Program (ADEC) reviewed the environmental records associated with West Sak 24. This site had been contaminated by the release of a hazardous substance; however, based on the information provided to date, ADEC has determined that no further remedial action is required, and that West Sak 24 can be closed subject to the conditions outlined in this document. The hazardous substance contamination has been adequately addressed and does not pose an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment. This site is included on the Existing (Contaminated) Sites Charter for the Development of the Alaska North Slope (Paragraph II.A.3; Exhibit D.2). Bill O'Connell

Email response on 10/3/14 requesting that Respol notify ADEC if the man camp construction will involve any excavation or use of sumps to deal with accumulation of water on the pad.
