4/16/2007 | Site Characterization Workplan Approved | Recieved Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan for North Kuparuk State 26-12-12. Oasis will advance approximately 78 boreholes across the gravel pad, reserve pit, flare pit and surrounding tundra. Results will be used to guide removal of the reserve pit, flare pit, and gravel pad in 2007/2008 | Bill O'Connell |

11/15/2007 | Site Characterization Report Approved | Recieved Phase II report and corrective action plan (CAP). 45 boreholes were advanced at the gravel pad with DRO detected up to 25,100 mg/kg in borehole GP12. Based on the results of the Phase II investigation, the CAP proposes removing approximately 14,300 cy of clean gravel and 7,000 cy of restricted- and conditional-use gravel. The restricted and conditional use gravel will be stockpiled on site and sampled for potential reuse to backfill the reserve pit, with the top one foot consisting of clean gravel. Surplus conditional and restricted use gravel will be transported off site for reuse or treatment at the East Dock Landfarm as appropriate. Approximately 8,200 cy of contaminated gravel will be removed and transported to East Dock for treatment. One area of contaminated tundra will be removed and backfilled and two petroelum impacted tundra ponds will be backfilled. The old road from the pad to Kuparuk River will be left intact, as most of the gravel has subsided to below tundra grade. | Bill O'Connell |

4/10/2012 | Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other | Reviewed North Kuparuk State 26-12-12 Corrective Action Report. The report describes the removal of the gravel pad, access road, and airstrip and augmentation of the reserve pit cap with additional material. The excavation and segregation of material during gravel pad excavation was based on the results of the 2007 Phase II investigation. Approximately 35,435 cy of clean gravel were excavated and hauled offsite for reuse. The Phase II sampling results indicated there were several areas where hydrocarbon contamination was present, but a concentrations near or slightly above the conditional reuse threshold of 500 mg/kg. Gravel from these area was excavated, placed into 200 cy stockpiles and sampled to determine reuse. Of the 6,900 cy of gravel excavated from these areas, 1,200 cy was designated as contaminated and hauled to East Dock landfarm for treatment, along with 4,120 cy of gravel and tundra designated as contaminated based on Phase II sampling. The remainder of the stockpiled soil was designated as conditional use and used onsite as backfill or hauled offsite for conditional reuse. Following excavation efforts, confirmation soil samples were collected from excavated areas where hydrocarbon contamination was noted during Phase II sampling. DRO was detected up to 707 mg/kg in the 55 confirmation samples collected. Excavated areas were brought to grade with gravel then topped with 6-12 inches of organic overburden to support revegetation of the site. | Bill O'Connell |

5/16/2012 | Cleanup Complete Determination Issued | The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Contaminated Sites Program (ADEC) has completed a review of the environmental records associated with BPX North Kuparuk State 26-12-12 site which is located in the Western Operating Area of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Based on the information provided to date, it has been determined that the contaminant concentrations remaining on site do not pose an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment and this site will be closed. | Bill O'Connell |
