11/1/2006 | Site Characterization Report Approved | Limited Phase II removed 2, 55-gallon drums of contaminated soil from the area around a floor drain, Class V UIC well. Soil samples contained benzene and toluene above Method 2 cleanup levels. A sample from the on-site drinking water well did not contain contaminants above MCLs. | Bill O'Connell |
4/5/2007 | Site Characterization Report Approved | Additional limited Phase II sampling from the open excavation from October 2006 and from the stockpiled soil. Benzene and toluene found above Method Two cleanup levels with max benzene at 0.385 mg/kg and toluene at 6.06 mg/kg. Benzene also above Method Two in stockpile samples. | Bill O'Connell |

Reportedly the stockpile has been removed and has/is going to be thermally treated as ASR. Two GW samples and one duplicate taken from temporary MWs were also tested for BTEX and GRO. The only analyte detected was benzene at 0.00179 mg/kg, which is well below ADEC cleanup levels. | Grant Lidren |
12/11/2008 | Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other | ADEC reviewed Soil Transport Confirmation Former Henderlong Site Seward, Alaska, dated December 5, 2008, submitted by Clarus, and received by ADEC on December 11, 2008.
