Problems/Comments
10 cubic yards of contaminated soil were removed from a former drum storage area. Contaminants of concern are DRO, toulene, benzene, and PCE. Transport and thermal treatment of contaminated soil was approved by ADEC, but there is no record of its completion. Confirmation sampling from sidewalls and bottom of excavation indicate contaminants are below ADEC cleanup levels. 1 cubic yard of contaminated soil remains in the ground on site. Contaminated stockpile soil sampling indicates contamination above ADEC cleanup levels. No further action granted on December 10,2007 subject to institutional controls.
