Problems/Comments
Approximately 35 cubic yards of contaminated waste oil soil was impacted at the temporary Visitor Reception Center at the Palmer Correctional Facility, and approximately 10 cubic yards of contaminated waste oil soil was impacted at the dump area. All contaminated soils was removed, stockpiled on 6 mil visqueen, and burned on April 28, 1989. All excavated areas were replaced with clean pit run gravel. The site is a historical spill that was received from a citizen complaint that was received on April 5, 1989, and closed out on February 14, 1991 by Paul Pinard.
