A total of 75 cubic yards of contaminated soil was removed from the five test pits. Up to 112 mg/kg GRO, 488 mg/kg DRO, and 0.723 mg/kg benzene in the excavation soil samples collected. Some of the soil sample results are biased low because they we not properly preserved in the field. Up to 0.740 mg/l GRO, 1.98 mg/l DRO, 5.00 mg/l RRO, and 28 ug/l benzene in the groundwater samples collected. The 75 cubic yards of excavated soil is currently stockpiled on site in a 50 cubic yard and a 25 cubic yard stockpile. Additional site characterization, corrective action, and groundwater monitoring is needed. Robert Weimer
