Problems/Comments

Multiple contaminants from septic tank outfall, incuding DRO, Antimony, DDE, Dieldrin, PCBs, and Heptachlor Epoxide. PCBs were detected in multiple samples of surface soil in high levels. Dieldrin was detected at 5.8 mg/kg. Heptachlor epoxide was detected at 0.27 mg/kg (flagged data). Traces of DDE were detected below cleanup levels. DRO was detected at levels barely above migration to groundwater cleanup levels. Located on hillside coming down from upper camp, but still at high elevation. More than 150 cubic yards of soil was removed through a series of 8 excavations in 2009. Confirmation samples showed that concentrations were below cleanup levels.
