Problems/Comments
On-site wastewater system was installed incorrectly causing waste oil to flow into the septic sewer system. Waste oil discharge occurred for 12-18 months before discovery 9/28/89. The west leachfield was impacted by the waste oil. Partial remediation has excavated soils from the west leachfield. Public health threat is unknown. The contaminated west leachfield was excavated to a depth of 16'. TPH concentrations at this depth were on the order of 2,700 ppm. The east leachfield, not impacted by waste oil, and is being used. EPA ID #AKD982655839. Hazardous waste activity: generator 3. Last staff assigned was Kleweno.
