3/20/2019 Workplan Requested In 1991 hydrocarbon contaminated soil from a diesel spill and crude oil contamination were identified. A closure request was submitted to our office in 1995. It appears from the environmental record that one monitoring well remains on site. Long term monitoring was established in 1997, but records do not indicate that sampling was conducted. Please verify the number of wells on site and prepare a work plan for the sampling of the well or wells. Peter Campbell
4/20/2021 Workplan Requested Reiterate requirement for work plan from 2019. Peter Campbell

1/25/2022 Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other The 2021 Interim Groundwater Monitoring Report recommends sampling the remaining monitoring well an additional time and moving the site towards closure. We have requested Hilcorp provide an assessment of the site, including groundwater flow characteristics, including a narrative site history. Is the remaining well in a location that is representative of historical groundwater impacts? What are the current operation conditions at the pad? Evaluate the site and determine if additional assessment and drilling is necessary to close the site with confidence. Peter Campbell
8/22/2023 Meeting or Teleconference Held Install two new temporary groundwater monitoring wells to determine contaminant concentrations (if any) and to establish a groundwater flow direction. Collect groundwater samples from the two new temporary wells and from existing well, 224-13-2. If needed, one additional temporary well will be installed to collect downgradient groundwater data from the southern portion of the pad. Peter Campbell
8/30/2023 Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other 2022 Groundwater Monitoring Report review and approval Peter Campbell
9/13/2023 Update or Other Action Work plan review. The new proposed downgradient well should be installed down gradient of the well head. The new proposed downgradient well should be installed down gradient of the 224-13 well head. It appears there may be a wetland to the southwest of the pad. If there is surface water present, capture a surface water elevation and a surface water sample for TAH, TAqH. Peter Campbell
8/26/2024 Long Term Monitoring Workplan or Report Review 2024 Groundwater Monitoring Work Pan Approval with a request to move a downgradient monitoring well further north to capture impacts from a likely source, the Pad wellhead. Peter Campbell
