Problems/Comments
Hydrocarbon contaminated soil at sump. Analytical results indicate elevated extractable petroleum hydrocarbon (EPH) concentrations (3,600 - 8,600 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg)) from 6.5 to 16.5 feet deep with 880 mg/kg at 7.5 - 9 feet. These results indicate that a localized area of hydrocarbon occurrence near the former contractor sump, with low levels of hydrocarbon occurrence at the water table in the surrounding area.

DRO | > Table C | Groundwater | The more restrictive of either the inhalation or ingestion soil cleanup levels apply to this site. Diesel range organics were detected in soil above the migration to groundwater cleanup levels established in 18 AAC 75.341 (d), Table B2. Migration to groundwater soil cleanup levels are not applicable in this circumstance because groundwater was shown not to be a source of drinking water at this remote industrial site. There are no groundwater cleanup levels because the impacted groundwater is not a source of drinking water. Surface water was not impacted. |
