Description: Information regarding Alaskan Seafood Processor facility locations permitted by the State of Alaska under the Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (APDES) permit program. This dataset provides the drawn in parcel lines for seafood processing facilities and the boundary of their Project Area Zone of Deposit (ZOD). The limits of the authorized project area ZOD will be defined in the authorization issued by DEC, which authorizes a deposit of substances on the sea floor within the area of the defined ZOD. All State of Alaska Water Quality Standards must be met at all points outside the authorized project area ZOD.A Project Area ZOD, in general, includes seafloor area(s) where seafood waste deposits may have, or are currently accumulating, including: along previous or currently located discharge outfall line(s), previously documented seafloor waste deposit areas, vessel loading and unloading areas next to the docks. For more information regarding APDES permitted seafood processing facilies and hatcheries visit http://dec.alaska.gov/water/wwdp/seafood/Index.html#Home
