2019 DEC Proposed Regulations & SIP - Fairbanks North Star Borough Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5)

Portions of the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) have been designated as a Serious Nonattainment Area for Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5) by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); Federal Register, Vol. 82, No. 89, 21711 (PDF). The proposed regulations and draft Serious State Implementation Plan (SIP) have been developed to meet the EPA requirements of a Serious Nonattainment Area. The public review period will be 73 days and ends on July 26, 2019.

Formal public hearings will be held on the SIP and regulation proposal during the comment period. The specific times and locations are provided below. The comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019.
